Replaced an anchor appliance in our kitchen which had to fit in the footprint of its predecessor. We found the 1.8 cu. ft. Microwave was an exact fit for over the range without requiring cutting the marble backsplash. Very pleased with the appearance, easy to clean surfaces and the operator friendly touch pad controls. LED work light provides ample auxiliary lighting for range top cooking needs. Wish this unit had 3 speed exhaust fan instead of hi-lo setting. Operating noise is noticeably reduced vs. prior unit. Fan is also very quiet during operating mode.

I have had this microwave about 4 months now and it is hands down one of my favorite microwaves! Two things that stand out - the express buttons for heating including a 10 second and a 30 second button. I sometimes heat up small amounts of chocolate chips and cream for a topping and the 10 second button is excellent for that. Second, the ™€œ1™€ bottom is both an express control, and also a ™€œregular™€ button. For example, in all my previous microwaves, if I wanted to heat something at reduced power, I™€™d first have to press Cook Time, then add my time, then put in the power. Now, I just put in 1-0-0, the power button, then the power, and it eliminates that extra step. They added a slight delay on the ™€œ1™€ button so you can use it as an express key (just press 1 and walk away) or like this where I can put in the time I want then add the power I want without the extra step. Might seem minimal to others but I often heat things more slowly so use the power button frequently. The microwave heats well and looks sleek and nice as well! Very happy with my purchase!

In our experience, these units last 4-5 years with regular use. We chose to replace rather than repair our failed Gallery Series with this unit. Fit and finish are good. Door works more easily than the previous unit. Heating is focused dead center on the turntable and much less on the periphery. This is to be expected as it differs unit to unit. The machine is quiet, it exhausts out the top through the roof and it works pretty well. My only real gripe is about the control panel. Even in daylight the bottom and top control icons carry about half the visibility of the numbers section. In low light, the clock display is blinding and the top and bottom control icons are virtually invisible. You will need to commit the panel to memory and then approximate finger position to find the control you want such as lights or fan. For $300 I expect this one will work fine until it stops and we replace it again. There are more expensive units and we've had them but they don't work any better or last any longer.

The microwave is great and works really well. My only complaint would be the quick start buttons( and maybe you can change it, I have not dug deep on this) but you have to hold down the 1, 2 or 3 buttons for the minute timing to start instead of just pushing it and go.

I purchased a Frigidaire model FMOS1846BS over the stove microwave. It has been working fine however the handle is starting to crack. I called customer service and they said it is not covered under warranty which is understandable and they could give me the handle at a discount. The handle cost over $300. That™€™s right a $300 handle for a $248 microwave. do not buy anything from Frigidaire unless you expect the uncovered accessories to last forever.

Three days into using this new unit. It heats well compared to expectations. Fit and finish are good. Door is easy to operate. Unit is quiet and has a good feature set which is easy to operate. Hood fan is effective with top vent output. Fingerprint resistant stainless finish is only marginally effective but the surface does clean easily.My only gripe is that unless the room is rather well lit, many of the control panel buttons are nearly invisible. A control panel with black background and a shiny surface doesn't create enough contrast for the faintly printed portions of the panel.
