I tried to buy an LG washer and dryer but it was an exhausting ordeal. Everything was fine until the day of delivery when the third party delivery company RXO refused to install the machines in my basement. The stairway down would require a little finesse but I had just removed the old machines that way a week prior. I even offered to take the machines down the stairs myself but they told me they would not be allowed to complete the installation after I touched the units. Their multiple excuses gave me the impression that they were looking for any reason to avoid trying. They offered to leave the machines in my yard still boxed up but expected me to sign a form saying I had inspected the machines and verified that they were working. I told them I couldnt and frustrated they took the machines away. I called LG that same day who reassured me that their policy does indeed include installation in basements so I tried to reschedule the installation. Long story short I spent 10 days on the phone with LG and RXO one passing me off to the other but getting absolutely nowhere. Each time they told me the problem was solved and that I would get a call back the next day but I always ended up having to call them only to find out that I was right back where I started from. I still wanted to try to make the the purchase work but when I could see that no progress was being made and I was in an endless cycle of retelling my story to call center employees who bore no responsibility for the debacle I asked to get a refund so I could buy a washer and dryer from a different company. A week later and they have not refunded me. I called to find out that they have still not received the units back from RXO. Their use of a third party courier allows them both to avoid feeling a sense of duty and responsibility and the customer is left with the short end of the stick.

I bought this washer in April and so far Im pleased. It has several wash cycles to choose from and pretty simple to use. I do have two things that Im not happy with 1 is the drum light goes out quickly before I unload a wash and the other issue is you have to set the dial to cold because after every wash it turns off I believe this is for cold water rinse which I prefer.

Ive owned the washer for a month and a half now. So far so good. The control panel is easy to understand. It uses a large dial to select the wash type. The regular wash cycle doesnt use a lot of water. As a result some people feel the clothes arent clean enough but you can select a different cycle such was one for towels. I also installed the app on my phone. I dont use it for much other than downloading a new alarm and background. It also tells me when the wash is done.

Ive had this washer for 4 months and overall like it a lot. I did have a problem with the sensor / valve for water inlet not working for the rinse cycle. It took a while to get LG to provide me a service technician and even had a customer service rep tell me that I had to put the washer in a different cleaning mode that is why my washer wasnt working correctly. Bad service. Washer is large and works great now. ***Repair technician did tell me that the sensors / valves are DC versus AC use less electricity but get hot and that is likely what caused the problem.

Product Broke Immediately and LG has no repair parts to fix it. Control panel quit working after just a few dozen loads rendering the product useless. LG service is terrible -- online chat only that tells you to watch videos and make sure it is plugged in. DONT BUY LG We have a $2000 brand-new washer-dryer set that we cant use. We drive 20 minutes to a laundromat.

Solid attractive well-designed washer. Although there are a lot more settings than the one this replaced its easy to get to figure out how to get the best results. Much quieter than the old washer I had which was not an LG. Like the feel of the controls very intuitive. The clock is a nice touch and the ability to change the musical tones when the wash cycle is done. ThinQ has some useful features such as notifying me via cellphone when the cycle is over. Like the turbowash feature. Since the door is dark glass it would be nice to have an option to be able to illuminate the drum during the wash cycle. Im not accustomed to having to wipe down the door and gaskets after every wash but maybe I just didnt realize it should have been done with my old machine.

Im giving the washer five stars because of its performance. It really does an excellent job. However I would like to take 1/2 star away if I could for the fact that the screen display is so dim as to be almost unusable. That seems like a serious oversite and something that would be extremely easy to address and fix.

The washer and dryer were delivered on Jan 2 and the installation was done wrong resulting in a leak. We have been waiting two weeks without a washer to get it fixed. We have had to take clothes to a friend and to the laundromat to get them washed. I called the salesperson and got no reply.

Ive had my washer for 6 months and I love all the different wash cycles available. I waited 4 months to download the app and wish I had done it sooner. Using the app doubled the number of cycles on my machine. I didnt realize I had to use the app to access all the features. Not thrilled with that though. The clothes come out so much drier so it takes less time to dry them and less time overall for doing laundry. We just got the matching dryer and are waiting to get it converted to propane and getting it installed.

Its a quiet and efficient washer. It washed my clothes my better and cleaner than the LG top load washer. Unfortunately the door can only opened from the left side only confirmed by LG customer services and delivery team so when I opened it it hit on the door of my dryer which I could only open from the right side. Really inconvenient for a small laundry room. So unfortunately I had to return and buy a top load which Im not so happy with it quality. Customer Service employees told me that I would receive my refund within 45 days of return. It was 50 days and I didnt receive anything. I called and they said The would process a refund and I would receive an email of confirmation within 3 days. I waited and waited but received no email or money. Really frustrated I will not buy anything directly from LG website anymore.

The size of both washer and dryer or the ultimate solution to our needs. The washer has performed well I am still learning the settings for fabrics. 5 Month Old Washer Exploded

I spent $1700 on an LG washer / dryer combo that was delivered late June. This 5 month old washer literally exploded 2 weeks ago and LG wants me to wait weeks to months for them to replace almost every part in the machine rather than replace it. I have been without a washing machine since November 8. Take a look. Water sprayed everywhere. Flooded the area drum cockeyed various parts broken the seal inside the washer tangled w my laundry electronics fried ruined all of my eco friendly detergent sheets and LG is asking me to keep this lemon and allow them to repair something this catastrophic. I say thats utterly ridiculous. This machine was defective and its trashed. Costco has been amazing and has been fighting for them to replace this. Still waiting on LG to do the right thing.

Everything is working great so far. I love the intelligence. I get a notification on my devices when the load is complete so that the load doesnt sit there and sour. It will even let me start it up again so that doesnt happen right from the app. Functionality is great on all levels and I also love the coordination with the dryer. When the wash load is complete the dryer is waiting and knows exactly the type of load that just finished in the washer and recommends what dry cycle to utilize which is already cued up to start with a press of the button. Theres also a checklist provided to ensure youve cleaned the dryer lint screen added the dryer sheet etc. Couldnt be happier with bot the new LG Washer and the LG Dryer.

What an Upgrade

Weve had our new front-loading LG washing/drying machines set for about a month now after our very old dryer finally kicked the bucket. In mid-cycle of course. We are so thrilled with how easy and efficient and QUIET both of these machines have been. The selection of setting options per the contents of each load is so helpful and has allowed us to confidently wash items like king bed size comforters at home rather than needing to take them to cleaners. The number of loads we now need to run have been cut in half. Finally the phone app which at first seemed kinda silly is actually super practical. In addition to whats probably supper obvious - being able to track timing for individual loads in both machines it reminds us when to clean filters multiple reminders that the load in the wash needs to move to the dryer to avoid getting moldy and it tracks overall activity to give us a sense of exactly how long we should expect a certain type of load will complete. Oh and the washer uses less detergent per load Overall this was an outstanding purchase one month in.

The first one that was delivered was defective - kept throwing random error codes. I called support and they were fantastic in troubleshooting. ABT ended up swapping the machine out and the new one has worked flawlessly so far.

Bad LCD on Dryer and Washer Shakes

The backlight on the dryer comes and goes. This causes the right hand side LCD not to show any of the options. We paid premium price for a premium device but it is far from that. The washer also shakes really bad in high spin. Shake is so bad that the whole device moves. We asked for replacement just a week after we purchased. The replacements do the same thing. It is a defect in the linup. Stay away

Great machine with a few negatives

Had to replace my six year old LG washer quickly because my son was arriving with his wife and three young children so I didnt have time to wait for a repair on the door latch that broke. My original LG ran perfectly and never needed a repair but due to a poor design using a plastic door latch it had to be replaced well before its time. I replaced it with this years equivalent model. I feel that the machine works as well as my previous machine so that is a big plus. I feel that this machine has three negatives one is that LG used plastic again for the door latch there was no hard copy of the washer instructions sent with the machine I requested one by phone and am still waiting it to come to me after over a month and the final negative is that the new control panel is poorly lit and extremely hard to see the wash cycle choices in my brightly sunlit laundry room. I called to ask how to brighten the lights in the panel and was told that there is no adjustment for this feature.

So far excellent for both washer and dryer. I love the pedestal quiet and great reminders and options through the app. Dont use pods scent boosters or softeners - theyll mess up your machines in the long term. Its a marketing strategy companies use so youll have to replace your appliances sooner. Just use liquid detergent. Also these machines are good enough they dont need those things.

I had my ducts cleaned and fully checked just prior to installation but every dryer load I have run since it got installed says 80 duct blockage??? Someone is scheduled to come check it out this week. Maybe the dryer vent dims bent too much because its stacked? Or maybe sitting too far from the duct wall?? However I love it otherwise- getting stuff super clean and it doesnt take forever and a day to wash like so many newer machines do. Its way bigger than I imagined washed a blanket today by itself and it barely took up any room in the drum. The washer also wrings stuff super dry so way less dryer time involved. If I had it to do over though I would put them on pedestals instead of stacking because Ive got bad knees and the washer front loader is down so low while the drum is so deep and when its finished the load of laundry ends up in the very back of it involving much stooping and reaching for me- so the space I saved by stacking wasnt really worth the hassle. I hope they can fix the duct message. If so I would definitely raise my review. This set has a ton of electronic features I never thought I would use but I do I dont need the Bluetooth controls though. The machines give an abundance of load selections without going to the app.
